The director of the St. Martin Parish Council on Aging is on paid administrative leave shortly after receiving high marks on an evaluations.
Wayne LeJeune was placed on leave last Tuesday by the council's board of directors.
Don Resweber, the chairman of the council's board, confirms that LeJeune's six-month evaluation featured satisfactory marks. Shortly after the evaluation was conducted, Resweber said "circumstances involving LeJeune" came to light, prompting putting LeJeune on leave.
Resweber would not elaborate on what those circumstances were because they are a personnel matter.
LeJeune said that he was caught by surprise when the announcement was made and that he has no idea why he was put on leave.
LeJeune will go before the council's board of directors during a Friday meeting.
