The executive director of the St. Martin Parish Council on Aging has resigned only seven months on the job.
Wayne LeJeune announced his decision Friday during a disciplinary hearing. LeJeune had been placed on administrative leave two weeks prior after employees made unspecified allegations against LeJeune to the council's board of directors.
Don Resweber, the chairman of the council's board, declined to tell KATC what the allegations were, citing personnel and privacy issues. LeJeune also declined to elaborate on the allegations except to say he felt they were unfounded.
Resweber says the board will soon begin accepting applications for a new executive director. He adds that no decision has been made on an interim director.
