The 2014 Acadiana St. Jude Dream Home is complete! McLain Homes is, of course, the general contractor on the project. However, it takes so many subcontractors to build off such an beautiful home.
Each year, the goal is to have 100% of the labor and materials for the house donated. This year, they are amazingly close to that goal! That wouldn't be possible without several of these businesses and individuals donating time and money to make it possible. When you visit with them, they all say the same thing. They believe in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and in Danny Thomas' simple statement that no child should die in the dawn of life. They do it for the children at St. Jude.
These people give truly from their hearts. The business owners themselves pay for the materials out of their own pockets to see that the house gets built. But, they aren't all business owners. Some are employees who donate THEIR time. They want the money you pay for that ticket to go to the children. And the majority of it does. You can trust that.
If you'd like to see the stunning job these people have done, you can tonight (Thursday, 5/15) during a Sneak Peek from 6:00 until 8:00. If not then, on Saturdays and Sundays until the home is open, you can visit the home between noon and 6:00.
You can get your ticket at the home when you visit, too. And just for visiting the home, you can register to win a $5000 Visa gift card, donated by The UPS Store. You can also get your ticket right here by using this secure link.
The home is easy to find. It's address is 101 Beethoven, Broussard, LA. It's a new street so it may not show up on your GPS or Maps App. The easy directions are to take Ambassador Caffery and turn onto Bonin Road (left if coming from Kaliste Saloom or right if coming from HWY 90). When you get to La Neuville (the stop sign), take a right. Soon thereafter, you will see the entrance to Ella Trace Subdivision on your left (it's clearly marked). Turn in and follow the small street around and take the first right, then the next right. The home, which has a sign out front, is on the left (you'll be looking at the side of it).
Thank you for your help all these years in this project. St. Jude counts on ticket sales to keep the hospital running. Does your ticket help? You bet it does? Will you win a prize? I don't know. I DO know you will help in the fight against childhood cancer. And that's the biggest win of all!
