Soggy Conditions Lasting Through Mardi Gras

It's a messy forecast Tuesday as we get ready for the next round of rainfall to push through Acadiana late Wednesday into early Thursday. Rain chances are getting better and better for overnight Wednesday, and by Thursday afternoon we could see just over an inch of rain.

The problem over the passed few days has been model agreement and almost every model has a different outlook with one thing in agreement, the rain will be with us midweek. Once the rain hits either late Wednesday or early Thursday it should be pretty quick moving, clearing out by Thursday late afternoon.

A handful of clouds will linger for the beginning of the weekend, but the atmosphere gets sloppy again just before Mardi Gras. Both Monday and Tuesday look to have decent chances for rain as we get our next system in from the west.

Temperatures during this whole time frame never seem to cool down, despite the abundance of clouds and rain. Expect those highs to stay in the low 70s, until Mardi Gras when there will be a slight cool down (typical).

Again this has been a pretty tricky forecast to nail down, but the rain will be pushing through Wednesday night and lasting until Thursday around lunch time. This system could be producing just over an inch of rain across Acadiana.
