An upper level disturbance moving northeastward across Acadiana is producing light drizzle, sleet, and occasionally light snow this morning. Most areas aren't seeing any accumulation on the roads or the ground. Some sleet may linger on parked cars and lawn furniture and other items left outside.
Mainly light snow has been falling from Alexandria northward to Natchitoches. A sleet/snow mix has filtered down to the I-10 corridor. Generally sleet across the southern sections. Temperatures as of 10:30am were all above the freezing point in Acadiana...so anything frozen that falls, should melt quickly. No roadway issues have been reported.
The Winter Weather Advisory that is in effect for the northern parishes will expire at noon today and most of the precipitation will exit the area early this afternoon.
