A Lake Charles man is in custody and charged with five counts of attempted second-degree murder in connection with a September 9 shooting.
Lake Charles police say 45-year-old Burnell Turner fired five shots at a man with whom he was arguing. Turner allegedly missed his intended target and hit one of four bystanders in the leg. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Turner is being held on $1,000,000 bond.
