School gate damaged by hit-and-run driver

Ville Platte Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who knocked down fencing and a solid brick post this weekend outside the K-12 Christian Academy on its Main St campus in Ville Platte.

The incident was reported Sunday night by someone who said that white paint from the vehicle had been left on the damaged fencing.

Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue said his department is investigating and he hopes for public assistance. If anyone has information about the individual(s) who may have damaged this property, please call the Ville Platte Police at 337-363-1313.
