Scattered Storms Stay in the Forecast

A very typical weather pattern for June (and summer) is expected over the next week for Acadiana.

Look for partly cloudy, hot and humid conditions through the end of the week into the weekend with highs in the lower 90s.

There will continue to be a risk of scattered mainly afternoon/early evening showers and thunderstorms each day with rain chances generally in the 20-40% range.

Little change in the pattern is expected through much of next week.

Summer (summer solstice) officially begins Friday morning at 12:04 am, but weather-wise it's been in Acadiana over the last month. The longest days of the year (more than 14 hours of daylight) will continue through the first week of July.
