High pressure off to the west is starting to expand which could be some welcomed news for those of you who are already looking to the weekend.
In the meantime, isolated showers will be possible late Wednesday night up to about midnight before skies begin to clear out.
Thursday looks very much like a summer day, with highs ranging into the low 90s and enough humidity to push the heat index into the upper 90s.
Skies will start off fair early Thursday morning but you can't rule out for a few scattered showers in the afternoon along the sea breeze.
As Friday afternoon approaches, however, that high pressure will really start to make its presence felt and will limit showers heading into the weekend.
That same ridge will have control by Saturday so expect temperatures to be hot and cooling showers to be few and far between.
