ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - The first round of interviews to select the next superintendent of Rapides schools has wrapped up, leaving School Board members confident about the future of the district.
Personnel committee chairwoman Janet Dixon tells The Town Talk the board will select three finalists at a special meeting on Thursday.
Interviews took place last week from Monday through Thursday. Dixon said the interview process went smoothly and that all candidates were asked the same questions.
Board President Stephen Chapman said the board is taking the process seriously.
Finalists will be selected by a vote similar to how the seven semifinalists were named on March 6. Board members will each vote for three candidates. The three getting the most votes will become the finalists.
