Drier more stable air will work its way into Acadiana over the next couple of days, knocking rain chances down (but not completely out) and allowing for more sun.
After some morning fog, partly cloudy skies and more afternoon sun, will likely translate to temperatures to possibly reach 90 degrees for the first time in Lafayette this spring. More of the same is expected for Friday.
Rain chances should be closer to 10% or less into the weekend.
High pressure will bank into the area from the northeast this weekend (also sometimes know as a "back-door cool front") and should bring our daytime highs and nighttime lows down a couple of degrees.
Relatively benign weather will continue for much of next week with a gradual increase in heat & humidity and possibly a few tropical showers by the latter part of the week.
