As spring officially arrives on the celestial calender at 6:02am Wednesday there may be a few spring showers to start the season associated with a fast moving upper level disturbance.
This disturbance will clear Acadiana by the afternoon with skies clearing later in the day.
Look for breezy and seasonably cooler conditions for our Wednesday with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Thursday will be mostly sunny and cool as high pressure briefly settles into the area.
More changes are on tap for Friday into the weekend with a return flow from the Gulf bringing moisture, warmer temperatures and the threat of scattered showers through Saturday.
Drier air should filter back into the region Sunday with cooler than normal temperatures and dry conditions expected for much of next week.
