Public's assistance needed in locating suspect

Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in locating an armed robbery suspect.

On February 13, 2013, at 8:32 pm, EPSO received a 911 call in reference to an Armed Robbery at a convenient store located at 6464 Pine Point Road in Ville Platte.

According to authorities, three masked men entered the store with weapons demanding money from the cash register. The store clerks were unable to open the register, at which point shots were fired at the store clerks. The suspects stole the register from the counter and fled the store, according deputies. Both store clerks were unharmed in the robbery. A description of the vehicle along with video surveillance allowed deputies to obtain descriptions of the suspects.

Jordon Harris, Leeon Fontenot both from Ville Platte have been booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail on Armed Robbery, and 2 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.

A warrant for Isaac Thomas Jr. arrest has been issued for Armed Robbery and 2 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. Thomas has been entered into the National data base as being wanted and to be considered Armed and Dangerous.
