LEESVILLE, La. (AP) - The City Council has decided to take no action on two development projects until after a new mayor takes office at the end of June.
The American Press reports the council tabled consideration of proposals for the University Parkway/Louisiana Highway 467 projects.
The first mater involves an easement agreement. The second deals with beginning the advertising process for contracts related to extending water and sewer service between U.S. Highway 171 and Louisiana Highway 28.
Mayor Robert Rose lost his recent re-election bid for re-election; Rick Allen will take over as mayor on June 30.
It's unclear whether the next administration will continue the development on Louisiana Highway 467.
