From Lafayette Utilities System (LUS): LUS had to turn off the power to a portion of Lafayette, near the Guilbeau and Congress intersection. They say a contractor was working in that area when he got injured. LUS says the power needed to be shut off so emergency workers can get to him safely. They say as soon as the contractor gets the necessary treatment, they will move him, and power will be restored.
