Police: Drug paraphernalia found after house fire

Kaplan police say drug paraphernalia was found at a house that went up in flames late last night.

The incident took place around 8 p.m. at the corner of North Guidry Avenue and East 7th Street.

According to Police Chief Boyd Adams, firefighters found flammable chemicals and other drug-related items were found in the home. Adams says there is no public danger because of chemicals or the fire.

One person was removed from the home. Adams says that person suffered smoke inhalation

The fire and its cause remain under investigation.
