The Patterson City Council has introduced an ordinance authorizing nearly $5 million dollars in bonds to build a new water plant. Mayor Rodney Grogan says the city has been working on the plant for the last two years. Grogan says Patterson has already received loans and grant money from the United States Department of Agriculture, but the bonds will help complete construction on the $9.4 million facility. The new plant will replace the 71-year-old facility currently in use.
