Overnight House Fire in Scott

Around 3:30 this morning the Scott fire department responded to a fire at 454 Roger Road in the Scott area. Upon arrival the structure was fully engulfed in flames. Shortly after arriving a portion of the home had collapsed. Fire crews were able to get the fire under control around 4:15am.

The home received major damage throughout, while the adjacent home received some damage due to the extreme heat, however minimal. The family of the home was out of state on vacation at the time and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Firefighters from Duson, Carencro, Judice and Lafayette assisted in firefighting efforts.
