BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (AP) - The Hancock Medical Board of Trustees has approved a two-year management agreement for Ochsner Health System to manage Hancock Medical Center.
The Board of Trustees and Hancock County Board of Supervisors announced the deal Wednesday. For Ochsner Health System, Hancock Medical is its first management operation in Mississippi.
Trustees president J. Larry Ladner says Ochsner has proven over the past five months that it's in Mississippi to provide the same great care that it does in Louisiana. Hancock Medical CEO Polly Davenport, who also is chief executive at Ochsner Medical Center-North Shore in Slidell, La., says Ochsner is thankful for the opportunity to serve patients in Mississippi.
Ochsner Health System president and CEO Warner Thomas says Ochsner looks forward to a long and successful relationship with Hancock Medical.
