Nightclub incident leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

SCOTT, La. (AP) - Authorities are investigating an incident at a nightclub that has left one man dead, another injured and a third facing criminal charges.
A news release from the Scott Police Department says 37-year-old Christopher Marmottin has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the Sunday incident at the Cowboys nightclub.
Authorities say Marmottin is accused of stabbing Nathan Lejeune twice in the chest with a pocket knife during a fight. Lejeune was pronounced dead later at a hospital.
Authorities say a second victim, whose name wasn't released, was transported to Lafayette General Medical Center with several cuts.
Marmottin was being held in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a $100,000 bond.
