New Executive Director Of The Louisiana Democratic Party

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Renee Lapeyrolerie (lap-uh-ROLL-er-REE)
has been named executive director of the Louisiana Democratic
Party.
She'll manage day-to-day party operations.
Lapeyrolerie served as political director for U.S. Sen. Mary
Landrieu's re-election campaign. She also worked on the 2003
campaign of former Gov. Kathleen Blanco and Mitch Landrieu's
campaign for lieutenant governor and served as Louisiana press
secretary for two presidential campaigns.
She fills the position left vacant when Britton Loftin resigned
from the job last year. Loftin and the state Democrats have since
been sued by a former staffer who accused Loftin of sexual
harassment.
