New chief architect in state fire marshal office

The state Fire Marshal's office has a new chief architect.
Lawrence "Joe" Delaune was named to the post Wednesday. Delaune, a 1988 LSU graduate, has been licensed as a professional architect since 1994. He has been a Certified Building Official since 2006.
Delaune has been with the Office of State Fire Marshal since 1998, with duties including preparation of administrative rules and evaluation of unusual code applications.
Delaune replaces Donald Zeringue who recently retired as the office's chief architect after 20 years of service.
