The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 11/03/2013:
1. Charles Ray Hebert, 44 years of age, Address-Banner Dr. Franklin, Louisiana was arrested on 11/05/2013 @ 2:33pm
Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Probation Fee; Warrant: Failure to Pay Drug Screen Fee; Warrant: Probation Violation
Charles Ray Hebert turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department after learning of outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was
booked into the Morgan City Jail facility where he remains incarcerated.
2. Theodore M. Harris, 27 years of age, Address-Taft St. Patterson, Louisiana was arrested on 11/05/2013 @ 3:43pm
Charge: Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
The Morgan City Police Department responded to a complaint of an armed robbery in the area of Barrow Street in Morgan City. Officers and Detectives
searched the area after being provided a description. A police officer observed Theodore Harris, who had been developed as a possible suspect
flee into a residence located on Freret Street in Morgan City. Officers and detectives secured the residence and with the assistance of the owner of the residence, located Theodore Harris hiding under a bed in the residence. Harris had a handgun within his possession at the time of his detention. Harris, a convicted felon was arrested and charged with possessing the firearm. He is presently incarcerated with no bond yet set. The initial investigation of the armed robbery is continuing and
additional charges may result at the conclusion of that investigation.
3. Corey A. Chapman, 48 years of age, Address-Bernice Street in Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 11/04/2013 @ 6:43pm
Charge: Warrant: Felony Theft (Value $848.43)
Chapman, who was presently incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility on charges related to a theft from a local convenience store was additionally charged
after another warrant was secured for his arrest as a result of an investigation into the theft of goods from a Highway 182 convenience store which included over the counter medicines and drinks valued at $848.43. Based on that investigation a warrant was obtained. He was booked and remains incarcerated.
