After another cold night/morning, Acadiana will have an opportunity to thaw out as temperatures will moderate for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
Overnight/Wednesday morning readings will likely bottom-out in the low-mid 20s...but then we are done with freezing temperatures for at least a week.
Highs Wednesday will reach the lower 50s under partly cloudy skies while temperatures Wednesday night/Thursday morning will closer to 40F.
Thursday will bring more warmth courtesy of a return flow from the Gulf of Mexico with highs likely reaching the 60s.
It will be downright balmy with highs pushing the upper 60s to lower 70s Friday into Saturday but rain chances will become likely by Friday night.
The weekend forecast looks rather unsettled (rain-wise) with plenty of clouds and another disturbance keeping rain chances through Sunday.
Some of the rains may bring a good soaking (especially Friday night/early Saturday) with the possibility of several inches through Sunday.
