A 26-year-old Metairie woman has been accused of skimming $25,500 from her employer's deposits to cover her rent and other expenses.
Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies say Valerie Norment was booked with theft valued at $1,500 or more.
The Times-Picayune reports Norment's employer, New Orleans Harley-Davidson, declined to comment about the case on Tuesday.
Norment was booked Saturday at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna. She was released the same day on a $30,000 bond.
It was unclear whether she has an attorney.
