NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The Urban League of Greater New Orleans' board of directors has named Erika McConduit-Diggs as the group's new president and CEO.
She has held the posts on an interim basis for nearly a year.
Dottie Reese, the board's chairwoman, says McConduit-Diggs is the second woman to hold the position in the group's 75-year history.
In the announcement Wednesday on the group's website, Urban League national president and CEO, Marc Morial, calls McConduit-Diggs "one of the bright young stars of the Urban League Movement."
McConduit-Diggs is an attorney.
