Man Shot While Sitting Outside Home

On April 5, 2010, at approximately 11:30 pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 700 block of Plum Street. The victim, a 24 year old male of Lafayette, was sitting in front of a vacant residence in the 700 block of Plum Street, when he was approached by two black male suspects. The two suspects demanded money from the victim. When the victim told the suspects he had no money, one of the suspects shot the victim in the leg. The suspects immediately fled the scene before officers arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The suspects are only described as two black males in black clothing.
