SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A Sabine Parish man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison and three years of supervised release for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley says 31-year-old Scott William Wood, of Zwolle, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Maurice S. Hicks. Woods pleaded guilty on July 29.
According to evidence presented at the guilty plea, The Town Talk reports members of the U.S. Marshal's Service Task Force arrested Woods and three others at a casino hotel in Shreveport on June 20, 2012.
During the arrest, agents discovered methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, two handguns and body armor in the hotel room.
