BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Police say a Baton Rouge man led them on a high-speed chase while throwing large amounts of marijuana out his window and with his two young children in the back seat.
Joshua Jackson was booked into Parish Prison Friday on counts of cruelty to juveniles, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer, obstruction of justice and failure to signal, booking records show.
The Advocate reports that Jackson fled the officers, disregarding stop signs and traveling at some points over 100 miles an hour.
Police say Jackson finally stopped and tried to run away on foot but officers caught him. It was at that point that police saw Jackson's two children, ages 2 years old and 3 years old, in the car.
