Investigators with the Bossier City Police and Fire Departments have arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly phoning in a bomb threat to the offices of the University of Phoenix located at the Louisiana Boardwalk.
Tanner Jerome Raney, of Bossier City was arrested Thursday on a charge of communicating of false information of a planned arson.
Police say Raney, who was a student at the school, allegedly phoned in the bomb threat Wednesday because he was upset over an issue he had with school staff involving financial aid.
Police and firefighters responded to the school and evacuated about a dozen people while they conducted a sweep of the building. No devices were found.
It was unclear whether Raney has an attorney.
