LPSS Centralized Registration

Student registration for attendance at a new school or for a new service prior to the 1st day of classes. Parents will be given the opportunity to register all of their children in one convenient location beginning Tuesday, July 15 through LPSS's Centralized Registration option.

Parents needing to register one or more child for any Lafayette Parish public school, either because the family has relocated within the district, or because the family has moved to the district from somewhere else are encouraged to attend. Also, parents of students needing any ancillary services would also benefit from attending. Students do not need to be present for this registration.


Tuesday July 15 and Wednesday July 16 from 11:00AM-7:00PM.

Wednesday July 23 and Thursday July 24 from 11:00AM-7:00PM.

Friday August 1 from 11:00AM-7:00PM.

Monday August 4 from 11:00AM-7:00PM.

Parents have the option to register their children on any of the six dates Lerosen Elementary located at 516 E. Pinhook Road in Lafayette.

Centralized Registration is available to help alleviate the hustle and bustle 1st day of school registration may cause. It provides parents the opportunity to register more than one child at a time. School officials will be on hand to answer any questions and provide assistance with the process, as well as transportation department representatives to provide bus assignments and other information regarding student transportation. While you may go to any school at any time during regular hours to enroll your child, LPSS encourages parents to use the centralized registration option for the most complete access to services.

In order to register on these dates parents are required to bring the following items:

  • Student's birth certificate
  • social security card 
  • immunization records 
  • last report card 
  • proof of address (utility bill in parent/guardian's name). 

However, parents will still need to visit their child's school to schedule classes 
and receive school supply lists. Parents may download and print registration forms from the website and bring them already completed to the registration. Parents may also wait to fill in the forms at the registration. If parents have already completed the necessary paperwork ahead of time the wait time should not be very long.
