Library closing for renovation

JENNINGS, La. (AP) - Authorities in Jefferson Davis Parish say the parish library in Jennings will be closed for two months while the building is renovated.

Library director Linda Lebert-Corbello tells The American Press that work on the 100-yearold building should be done by August, and it will reopen in September.

During the closure, the bookmobile will be parked in front of the library 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Fridays.

Branch libraries in Welsh, Lake Arthur and Elton will remain open.

Ribbeck Construction of Lake Charles was awarded the bid for the $445,100 renovation project.
