Our cool front is still pushing southward across Acadiana this morning and most of the rainfall has pushed southward into the Gulf of Mexico and westward into Texas. Dry air will continue to filter in today bringing mostly sunny skies.
Expect temperatures to run to near 90 degrees today, but dew points will be in the lower 60s and maybe upper 50s for far northern areas. This will translate to humidity levels in the 30-40% range which is very comfortable for this time of year. Also lower dew points allow temperatures to cool easier at night. Therefore most of the region will drop into the upper 60s for a low overnight with 70s remaining along the coast.
Don't get used to this unseasonable weather because it won't last long. Thursday we'll see the humidity increasing and rain chances return for the weekend.
