The bill that would reschedule Lafayette Parish School Board elections to gubernatorial election years has cleared the Louisiana House of Representatives.
The House voted 55-32 in favor of Nancy Landry's bill, HB 786. Only one Lafayette representative, Vincent Pierre, voted against the bill. Two others, Joel Robideaux and Terry Landry, were absent for the vote.
The bill now advances to the State Senate.
