FENTON, La. (AP) - State police say a 71-year-old Kinder man
died in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 165 near Fenton.
At about 11 a.m. Thursday, troopers say 57-year-old John
Tramonte of Lake Charles tried to make a left turn from the
highway's shoulder to get to a crossover, which is usually reserved
for use by law officers.
During the turn, investigators say Tramonte reportedly passed
too closely to a motorcycle driven by Robert Brown. Brown struck
the rear left side of Tramonte's truck.
Brown was taken to a local hospital
where he was pronounced dead.
