LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Suspected serial killer Jeffery Lee Guillory is set to stand trial March 2 for an alleged attack on a Lafayette woman in 2007.
The 43-year-old Guillory was arrested in December in the deaths of three women in Baton Rouge between 1999 and 2002.
Guillory will first be tried on the Lafayette charges. The Advocate reports Wednesday that Guillory filed a written plea of not guilty Feb. 12 in lieu of his scheduled arraignment Tuesday in Lafayette.
Guillory faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, second-degree battery and two counts of unauthorized use of an access card in the Lafayette case.
He is accused of attacking a 44-year-old Lafayette woman in December 2007.
