Iberia Performing Arts League's Summer Youth Theater will present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The well known musical opens at IPAL's Essanee Theater in New Iberia on Thursday, July 17 and plays for two weekends, closing on Sunday, July 27, 2014. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m on Sunday.
The story is based on the "coat of many colors" story of Joseph from the Bible's Book of Genesis and is directed by Vincent P. Barras. It is a high energy and fun show, suitable for all ages.
IPAL is supported in part by a Grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
