Ingrid Inland, Weakens to a Tropical Storm

Hurricane Ingrid weakened into a tropical storm as it moved inland along the coast of Mexico. Heavy rain and gusty winds will continue today and tonight. The storm made landfall early Monday morning near La Pesca in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. Flooding and landslides will continue once the system moves over the mountainous areas of central Mexico. Additional heavy rains will come in from remnant tropical storm Manuel on the Pacific.

At the same time, the remnant area of low pressure that was once Hurricane Humberto has regenerated into a tropical storm this morning. Winds are near 40mph and some strengthening is possible as it moves northward over the waters of the Atlantic.
