Iberia Recreation's Fun on the Run starts tomorrow

The Iberia Parish Parks and Recreation Department will host a series of six camp activities starting June 12.

Called Fun on the Run, the parks department will set up outdoor camp activities at six different parks throughout Iberia Parish every few weeks. Fun on the Run will offer various games, food trucks and vendors.

"We want to get the attention of the people in our community and show them what we are all about," said Kalyn Landry, program coordinator at Iberia Recreation.

There will be two Fun on the Run events in June and four dates for the month of July, all with various themes to keep things fun and interesting.

The first Fun on the Run event is June 12 at the King Joseph Park in Jeanerette. The theme will be Water Day.

The second Fun on the Run is June 25 with a field day theme. It will be located at Curtis Landry Park on Jane Street in New Iberia and will include fun and challenging races, obstacle course inflatables and games.

All six Fun on the Run occasions are free and open to the public. They will start at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. For more information, visit http://iberiarecreation.com.
