A ridge of high pressure will remain firmly in control of Acadiana on Sunday, meaning conditions won't be much different from what we've been seeing this weekend.
Temperatures will be soaring once again Sunday afternoon with the heat index pushing back into the triple digits.
Winds will be warm, light, and from the southeast so won't offer much in the way of heat relief.
Make sure you drink plenty of water, and if at all possible avoid serious out door activity during the hotter parts of the day.
Down the line, however, a well forecasted cold front will sweep through on Tuesday and promises to bring much more comfortable conditions to Acadiana.
In the meantime any rainfall both Sunday and Monday will be isolated and scattered, using daytime heating and the sea breeze to get going.
