Hot and humid is the name of the game over these next few days. High pressure remains in control over these next few days providing an abundance of sunshine.
There is still plenty of moisture in the atmosphere, which we will all feel as the temperature heats up, so a shower or two is not out of the question. Any rain, however, will be very isolated and short lived.
The main concern will be temperature as highs will start to crack mid and upper 90s with high feel like temperatres through the afternoon. Lafayette's feel like temperatures will be in the triple digits and will most likely fall just shy of advisory criteria.
Regardless it is serious heat and should be taken seriously. Make sure you are drinking your water and if at all avoidable try to avoid over exerting yourself during the hottest part of the day.
Good luck in trying to stay cool everyone, summer is here and it certainly feels like it.
