Thousands of dollars has been raised for a New Iberia man, who died after being struck by a car while riding his bike.
Tony Parker, also known as "3rd Gear," was killed in New Iberia on Saturday, April 2014 while trying to cross St. Peter Street. The accident happened around 10:20 p.m.
According to deputies, Tony Parker, also known as "3rd Gear", was found lying in the roadway. Deputies say Parker drove into the path of a Jeep Liberty traveling on East St. Peter Street when he was hit.
The driver of the Jeep was not cited for any traffic violation, but in cases involving serious bodily harm or death a toxicology test is administered.
