Free Entrance to National WWII Museum This Weekend

The National WWII Museum will open its doors free of charge on Saturday, September 28, 2013, as part of Smithsonian Magazine's ninth annual Museum Day Live! Museum Day Live! offers free admission to visitors presenting a ticket at participating museums or cultural institutions. Last year's event drew over 400,000 participants nationwide, and this year's event expects record-high participation.

Free admission to The National WWII Museum, a Smithsonian affiliate, includes The Louisiana Memorial Pavilion and the five galleries within, plus the US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, featuring six WWII-era warbirds. A separate ticket is required for the 4-D film Beyond All Boundaries and Final Mission: The USS Tang Submarine Experience for $5 each.

Museum Day Live! tickets are available to download at Smithsonian.com/museumday. Visitors who present the Museum Day Live! ticket will gain free entrance for two. One ticket is permitted per household, per email address.
