The Franklin Police Department responded to 15 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrest:
10/17/13 @ 10:34 AM, Jonmario Jackson, 26, of South Gessner Rd., Houston, TX, was arrested on a warrant, dated November 1, 2011, charging him with two (2) counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on November 1, 2011. Jackson allegedly fired shots that hit a vehicle with two passengers inside. Victims did not receive any injuries. Jackson was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff's Office in Houston, TX, and was extradited back to Louisiana and booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, where he remains at this time.
10/17/13 @ 4:34 PM, Ray Picard, 45, of Hamm St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on a warrant dated September 23, 2013, charging him with Aggravated Second Degree Battery With Medical Attention. The arrest stems from Picard and the victim getting into an argument. The argument became physical and Picard picked up a pipe and struck the victim. The victim was medically treated for injuries to the arm. Picard was processed and released on a $10,000.00 bond to appear in 16th Judicial District Court.
