Four men wanted in Baldwin store robbery

Baldwin police are looking for four men who robbed a store at gunpoint.

The incident took place Friday night around 10:30 at the Dollar General on LA 182.

Police Chief Gerald Minor says the suspects waited for the clerks to walk outside to lock the doors when they attacked. The suspects allegedly forced the clerks back inside the store, tripping an alarm in the process. However, Minor says the suspects forced the victims to turn off the alarm. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victims suffered minor injuries.

Minor adds that the alarm company did not call police because the company's monitors thought it was a false alarm.

Investigators say the suspects are black males ranging in height between 5'3" and 5'11". All of the suspects were wearing masks during the robbery.

If you have any information about this crime, call the Baldwin Police Department at 337-923-4845.
