It looks like Acadiana's Chamber of Commerce/Department of Tourism weather will continue for much of this week through the big Festival International weekend.
Expect a few more clouds for our Monday after some patchy early morning fog. Temperatures will rise from near 60 in the morning to the lower 80s for the afternoon.
Rain chances will stay very slight, perhaps near 10% for late in the day/early evening.
On Tuesday, a fizzling cool front will likely present more clouds and the slight risk of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms with rain chances in the 20-30% range.
Fair to partly cloudy skies are anticipated Wednesday and Thursday with daytime highs continuing in the lower 80s.
Friday into the weekend should be a little warmer and increasingly humid, with more clouds and perhaps a few quick isolated showers possible. Rain chances at this point should be 20% or less, so overall, the weather pattern looks quite favorable for all Festival International activities.
Typically for Festival, Acadiana sees breezy southerly winds during the afternoons/early evenings, and this year will be no different. Evening/night-time temperatures will rise into the mid-upper 60s by this weekend...perfectly comfortable for taking in the music and sights!
The best chance of showers and storms over the next week to 10 days (after Tuesday) appears to arrive next Monday.
