Festivals Acadiens et Creoles was still rocking and rolling today despite a raining Saturday evening. Crowds of people were enjoying music, food and just having a good time.
For New Orleans natives, Larry and Denise Babin, coming to the festival has always been tradition.
It's such a tradition, they've attended the fun-filled event for 19 years. The Babins say they come especially to dance to their favorite bands.
"Basically it's a Cajun festival with a little overtone of Zydeco and since we do both we just come out here to respect the culture that's in Lafayette plus also to dance have fun and eat good food. We do love it, we love the music here the bands are awesome and we wont miss it," said Larry and Denise.
Depsite the showers on Saturday and the dust and mud today, the couple said those things are minor and it wouldn't stop them from coming to Lafayette every fall to have a good time.
"It doesn't bother us, we do it anyway. We go to festivals here and in New Orleans and if it's raining or dusty it's fine we even dance in rain," said Larry Denise.
