Festival International has drawn to a close here in the Hub City, it was five days of fun, food, music and excitement..
Though there were rumbles of thunder and a few droplets of rain, that wasn't enough to stop festival goers from enjoying their fun for this years extravaganza. People came from all over country came for the festival experience, adults had their fun and so did the kids. At Cathedral Carmel Schoolyard, children were able to enjoy performances by international and local artists. There were also arts & crafts, food and even face painting for families.
"I think its an attempt to broaden the culture by having all these kid events and kid bands, it makes the parents bring the kids out here, it's not just for adults anymore especially out here at Scene de Jeunes, it's all for the kids," said Tommy Kinniff.
Today I asked people what their favorite thing is about festival, whether it be the food, the music or the atmosphere.
"It's well organized, its a lot of space and the kids get to play together and make new friends and there are tons of activities for the kids," said Lucille Lorilemelleii & James Belanger.
"There's arts and crafts, there's face painting, they have music, and they have french speaking going on, it's just an all-around good time," said Kinniff.
For many festival goers, their expectations were exceeded and they're already looking forward to next year.
"It's fun for the kids and the family, we enjoy the music, he enjoys the activities and its a cultural experience as well," said Luke & Chris McGowen
