Festival International de Louisiane has been selected as the About.com 2013 Readers' Choice Award for Best World Music Festival. Now in its fifth year, the About.com Readers' Choice Awards honor the best products, features and services across more than a dozen categories, ranging from technology to hobbies to parenting and more, as selected by its readers.
This is the second year of the Annual World Music Readers' Choice Awards, a program within the larger Reader's Choice Awards that focused on world music. The 2012 winners and nominees represented a broad spectrum of artists and professional world music organizations, with nominees from around the world, and thousands upon thousands of voters cast their ballots.
Starting in mid-January 2013, About.com accepted reader nominations for hundreds of award categories. Readers were able to vote for their favorite finalists for each award category. Festival International de Louisiane received the highest number of votes from readers securing the winning title of "Best World Music Festival".
