The Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market at the Horse Farm will root and rally for the Ragin' Cajuns as the football team prepares to compete in the 2013 New Orleans Bowl. Market hours will be extended one extra hour, remaining open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 21 for the third Saturday LafayetteTravel Food Pavilion. Many of Lafayette's finest Food Trucks will be parked at the Horse Farm serving lunch to Market-goers.
In addition to playing family-friendly tailgating games during the Market, visitors and families are invited to gather under the Market's Welcome Tent to string popcorn for traditional Christmas tree decorations or to participate in the Market's fresh food scavenger hunt, available for children and families every Saturday.
A casually clad Santa Claus will be at the Market all morning, eager to hear Christmas wishes. Musicians Louis and Ashlee Michot will lead this Saturday's weekly Cajun jam, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. As always, an abundance of handcrafted holiday gifts, locally grown produce, and homemade food items from dozens of vendors will be available this week at the Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market at the Horse Farm.
